The footy world is in mourning after a ‘vibrant and loveable’ teenage star died aged 16.

Tributes have poured in for Samara Whitney, a member of the Wynyard Soccer Membership and Tasmania Devils program, after her demise this week.

‘It’s with nice disappointment and heartache, we acknowledge the sudden passing of Samara Whitney,’ Wynyard FC mentioned on social media.
